A wave of hopelessness attempted to overcome me tonight. As I listened to the declaration of the next President of the United States, my mind gave way to discouragement and then to fear, but then the Spirit of the Lord came upon me and said, “Oh, no! There is no room for fear or doubt or worry. You have been made perfect in My love (1 John 17:20-26; 1 John 4:18). Do not fear. For I AM is here, and I AM knew of this decision before the beginning of time, and as the Great I Am, I allowed this decision to be made, and I WILL be glorified through this situation despite the good or bad that may seem to unfold. Whatever the enemy may intend for evil, I have intended for good (Genesis 50:20). You keep pressing on! Keep rejoicing in Your Maker! Continue to walk in the fullness of My Grace, and allow My Name to be a Beacon on the hilltops for all the world to see. My mercies are new every morning and My faithfulness continues through ALL generations (Psalm 119:90). Do not fear, but go in the joy of knowing Me, as your Kinsman Redeemer. I will carry you on eagles’ wings (Exodus 19:4). I who neither slumbers nor sleeps, will keep you (Psalm 122:3-5). Do not lose heart. For I AM with you.”
You see, “We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed–always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. ” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10
Though we may feel defeated with the election results, we must give room in our hearts and minds to die to what we think should have happened, and allow God to work out His Master Plan, knowing that “souls” are His primary passion.
Be manifested through our responses, both internally and externally, Lord, we pray.
As we go about our day today, “… [may] the peace of God rule in [our] hearts, to which [we] were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the Word of Christ, dwell in [us] richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in [our] hearts to the Lord. And whatever [we] do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:15-17
