Graduation (high school and college) is and the job market was the topic. We talked about how can college grads increase their chances in an interview, great gifts for high school grads (Total Money Makeover), what really is the truth in the college grad polls about finding a job, and then some rules if your college grad is coming back home to live with you. Today we talked about the origin of Victoria Day (Canadian Holiday), Pastor Harold Camping and his prediction of the world coming to end on 5/21/2011 at 6pm in each time zone.

I was joined today by my GTA counselor Lyndsay King in studio. I had to leave a little early so Lyndsay took over for me and did a great job! We talked about needing to communicate with spouses and finding an accountability partner for singles. We took a few calls about taxes and how to find a good credit union. Lyndsay also spoke to Valdir Prospero (416-) about long term care insurance and major illness/accident insurance for Canadians. Lyndsay also talked about how to save money on summer and day camps for your kids.

Kristyn my wife is in studio today to talk about a mom's perspective on money. We covered Mathew 6:26-34 and outlined how to better make God the head of your household. We talked about not letting the male/female dynamic and trying to get control of the relationship, but depending on God and the Holy Spirit to lead and set the path for us to follow. We also shared some stories about when we were dating (Kristyn gave me the let's just be friends speech 3 times before she finally said yes to a date) and some stories about me needing Kristyn's help in making decisions for RKL Financial (I would never have bought 14 chairs if i had talked to her first!).
